PURPOSE:To prevent a developer from caking in a bacuket and sticking to its internal surface, by providing a rotary driving means connected for driving a bucket roller through an intermittent drive transmission mechanism having a Geneva gear. CONSTITUTION:A backet roller 13 is provided rotatably near a peripheral surface part opposing to the electrophotographic photoreceptor drum 1 of a development sleeve 11. Then, a Geneva gear 42 is fixed on the shaft of the bucket roller 13. The bucket roller 13 is linked to a driving gear fixed in a copying machine body through an intermittent driving transmission mechanism having the Geneva gear 42 to be rotated, thereby giving intermittent shocks to buckets 13a, 13b and 13c accordingly. Therefore, magnetic developers in those buckets are vibrated intermittiently. Thus, the magnetic developers are prevented from caking in the buckets and sticking to their internal surfaces.
