Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the recording restarting time required to turn over or replace a cassette, by automatically returning a device to the last operation state when reloading the cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a recording command switch 1 and a play command switch 2 are both closed, a recording command and a play command are stored in a control circuit 5 to place a device in a recording state. In this state, when a tape comes to its terminal and a stop command switch is pushed, the output of the circuit 5 is inverted to lower the output voltages of delay circuits 16 and 20 gradually, and simultaneously a cassette holder is set at the 1st position. After a cassette is reloaded, a pulse generator 12 operates to place the cassette holder at the 2nd position, permitting the device to come in a recording state automatically. Then, display devices, such as LEDs, are turned on and off coupling with a selection switch 23, thus discriminating the possibility for the automatic operation.
