Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the stability of a tape run, by providing an impedance roller, which turns in contact with a tape according to the tape run, only in a tape path right in front of a recorder and reproducer in a tape running direction.
CONSTITUTION: When a guide pole mechanism 5 reaches the opposite position to a supporting plate 50 in loading, the base of a vertical guide roller 10 forces the cam part 50a of the supporting plate 50 to turn counterclockwise, thereby putting an erasing head 23 and an impedance roller 24 off the passing path of the guide pole mechanism 5 temporarily. When the guide pole mechanism 5 comes to a loading position, the supporting plate 50 returns by turning clockwise to bring the erasing head 23 and impedance roller 24 into contact with a tape 4. The head 23 and roller 24 are fitted on one supporting plate 50 and the fulcrum of rotation of the supporting plate 50 is placed at a cassette side, so that while the structure is simplified, the range of the turning angle of the supporting plate 50 is made narrow.
