A volume control VR1-2 is adjusted until this indicated value conincides with a suitable recording level of a magnetic tape in use. Since a volume control VR1-1 is interlocked with the volume control VR1-2, suitable adjustment of the VR1-1 is possible. Recording state is obtained by switching the switches S1-1-S1-4 to the contact (a) side.
