Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize the effects of currents flowing in other electric lines and the effects due to the variation in distance between the electric line and a sensing part by providing a horseshoe shaped magnetic core so that the electric line is enclosed in an upper part of a bushing part wherein a Hall element is provided. CONSTITUTION:The bushing 11 has a cylindrical inner space. One end of the bushing is opened and the other end thereof is closed. The electric line 12 is provided in the upper part of the bushing 11 comprising an insulating material such as porcelain. The horseshoe shaped magnetic core 13 is provided at the upper part of the bushing 11 so that the electric line 12 is enclosed and the core 13 is freely attached or detached. When a current flows in the electric line 12, the lines of magnetic force pass the horseshoe shaped magnetic core 13 and between both legs thereof and is applied to the magnetic field sensitive surface of the Hall element 14. The output of said Hall element 14 is sensed via a printed circuit 15 wherein an amplifier circuit and like are incorporated, a mounting leg 17, and connecting terminals 18. In this constitution, the effect of slight variation in relationship between the electric line and the Hall element is small, and the magnetic field sensitive surface of the Hall element can be readily mounted on an adequate position.
