Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to detect the torsional vibration which will be generated in the early stages of the slipping of wheels by a method wherein a vibration sensor is installed in the vicinity of the location where the driving motor of the driving device connected to each wheel shaft or a gear truck will be fastened on the truck frame.
CONSTITUTION: In the vicinity of the point where the driving motor 8 of a vehicle or a toothed wheel gearing 9 will be engaged on a truck frame 13, a vibration sensor 1 which will be converted to an electric signal by detecting the vibrational acceleration and displacement due to the torsional vibration that will be generated in the early stages of the slipping of wheels 10 and 10', is provided at a part of a gearbox hanging device 12, a gearbox hanging base 12', the truck frame 13 and the like, for example. When the output of the vibrational sensor 1 is maintained at the level or above of the prescribed value for the prescribed period of time or more continuously, a slip detection signal is ourputted. Through these procedures, the slipping of the wheels can be detected accurately in the early stages of the slipping.
