Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce intrusion of heat and to facilitate control of cooling gas of a large current lead wire for superconductive device by a method wherein cooling gas in the lead wire where a gaseous cooling agent is to be made to pass through after a superconductive coil is cooled is evacuated to form a vacuum condition. CONSTITUTION:The inside of the cylindrical lead wire 5 is evacuated utilizing a drawing port 10 for evacuation provided on the cylindrical lead wire 5, and when it reached the prescribed degree of vacuum, the drawing port 10 for evacuation is crushed to seal, and the structure inhibiting the pass of cooling gas is formed. Cooling of the cylindrical lead wire 5 is performed by cooling gas 7 flowing through the gap between the lead wire 5 and an outside cylinder 4.
