Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I.
USE: Anti-inflammatory, antiulcerative, granulation accelerator.
PREPARATION: α-Amino-β-hydroxybutanoic acid of formula II and L-hystidine are protected with proper protecting groups which are used in peptide synthesis respectively and made to react, then the protecting groups are removed from the reaction product to give the compound of formula I. The optically active D- or L-isomer of formula II is obtained by protecting the amino group of DL-γ-amino- β-hydroxybutanoic acid with t-butoxycarbonyl group, making an optically active base acting on the product to form a mixture of diastereomer salts, subjecting the mixture to fractional crystallization and removing the protecting groups.
