Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a sealing compound capable of forming a film having excellent weather resistance, by using an acrylic resin and methacrylic resin modified with acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber having terminal carboxyl groups or terminal mercapto groups, as main component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compound is composed mainly of an acrylic resin and methacrylic resin modified with an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber having terminal carboxyl groups and/or an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber having terminal mercapto groups. The modifying agent may be bonded chemically with the acrylic resin and the methacrylic resin or simply mixed with said resins. When the modifying agent is added to the resin after the synthesis of the resin, it is added as a latex.
