PURPOSE: A glass composition for filament having a low temperature of liquid phase and a low ratio of the occurrence of broken filament, comprising specific ratios of SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O, B2O3, F, TiO2 and Fe2O3 as ingredients.
CONSTITUTION: A glass composition consisting of 55.1W56.2wt% SiO2, 14.1W 15.0wt% Al2O3, 21.0W24.0wt% CaO+MgO, 0.1W5wt% MgO, 0.4W0.9wt% Na2O+K2O, 5.8W7.8wt% B2O3, 0.2W1wt% F, <0.6wt% TiO2, and <0.6wt% Fe2O3.
