Abstract
PURPOSE: To constantly minimize leaks from the valve part in such a way of preventing the valve plates from wearings by forming grooves to fill grease on the sliding contact faces of the fixing valve plate and the movable valve plate, in a rotary valve type plunger pump to feed muddy material, such as concrete, etc. under pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The outer peripheral part of the movable plate 11 on the side of the fixing plate 8 is surrounded by O-rings 32, 33, and O-rings 34, 35 are installed around the inner circumferential part. Grooves 36, 37 are arranged on the fixing plate 8 opposite to between these O-rings 32, 33, and between O-rings 34, 35, and grease is constantly fed through a pipeline 38 to these grooves 36, 37. Though this grease is, when water in the concrete muddy material is ready to rise above the O- rings, to seal them, and to protect each O-rings. Besides, the grease plays the role in lubricating on the contact faces with the fixing plate 8 and the movable plate 11, so that wear on these contact faces can be prevented. Thus, water in the muddy material does not escape in the radial direction in the contact faces with the fixing plate 8 and the movable plate 11.
