Abstract

PURPOSE: A regenerating material capable of raising its thermal conductivity during solidification of paraffin and providing a loaded side with heat of fusion of paraffin efficiently, comprising an emulsion consisting of paraffin, water, and a surface active agent.
CONSTITUTION: A regenerating material comprising an emulsion obtained by blending paraffin with water and a surface active agent (preferably nonionic surface active agent, e.g., polyethylene stearyl ether, a mixture of sorbitan fatty acid ester and polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) with stirring. When the emulsion is observed by a microscope, the paraffin particles (a) are a dispersed phase and the water (b) is a continuous phase.
EFFECT: Cost will not rise extremely as it rises when paraffin is sealed in a microcapsule for use.
USE: An air conditioning system for cooling and heating, etc.
