Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the usage of a gaseous atmospher by recovering the gaseous atmosphere of a heat treatment furnace, removing the products of reaction, controlling the components of the gaseous atmosphere and circulating and supplying said gas to the heat treatment furnace. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 is treated in a preheating furnace 2, a heating zone 3, a soaking zone 4, and a cooling zone 4, and is coiled with a coiler 6. A gaseous atmosphere contg. about 25-75% hydrogen is supplied by lead-in pipes 7, 8 into the zone 3 and the zone 4. The gaseous atmosphere contg. the products of reaction after the heat treatment, for example, CO, CO2 and H2O is sucked out by a blower 9, and is alternately introduced into adsorption towers 13, 14, where it is adsorbed. The products of reaction are discharged through a discharge pipe by heating or evacuation. The gas removed of the products of reaction is analyzed of components and is measured of flow rate by a gas component and flow rate measuring device 18. The measured values and the set gas component concns. and flow rate are compared, and the flow rates of, for example gaseous H2 20 and gaseous H2 21 are automatically controlled with a control device 19 in such a way that the deviations thereof are eliminated. The recovered gas is circulated and supplied to the heat treatment furnace.
