Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover washing water and heat, stabilize the water quality of a hot rinsing tank and a rinsing tank and improve washing effect by utilizing a heat exchanger and an ion exchange device in hot rinsing and rinsing treatment in a metal surface treatment process. CONSTITUTION:At the time of washing metallic products by first rinsing the same in a rinsing tank 8 then hot rinsing in a hot rinsing tank 1, the impure high temp. water from the tank 1 is fed via a cushion tank 5 to a heat exchanger 6, where it is heat-exchanged with pure water of low temp. and is thereby cooled. Next, it is joined to the low temp. contg. impurities from the tank 8 and enters a filter 14 via a cusion tank 11, whereby it is made into filtrate. The filtrate enters a water storage tank 16, and in an ion exchange device 19, cations and anions are ion-exchanged to make pure water. This pure water is heated with the heat exchanger 6 and is circulatively used in the tank 1. The replenishing of heat in the tank 1 is accomplished by blowing of raw steam 2. The water and heat are effectively recovered and reused, whereby the saving of water resources and energy is accomplished.
