Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform coating operation with high efficiency, by mounting a workpiece to be coated, on the 90°-rotating shaft of a 180°-rotating member, rotating the 180°-rotating member toward the side of a coating robot, coating the four surfaces of the workpiece and mounting another workpiece to be coated, on the other 90°- rotating shaft while rotating the former workpiece 90° by 90°, and then rotating the 180°-rotating member to detach the coating-finished workpiece.
CONSTITUTION: A workpiece 16 to be coated is mounted through a jig 15 on the 90°-rotating shaft 13 of a 180°-rotating member 12. When the 180°-rotating member 12 rotates to locate the workpiece 16 at the side of a coating robot 2, an operator 3 mounts and supports another workpiece 16 through the jig 15 on another 90°-rotating shaft 14 which comes near by the rotation. The four surfaces of the workpiece 16 at the side of the coating robot 2 are coated, while the 90°-rotating shaft 13 is rotated 90° by 90°. Thereafter, the workpiece 16 is rotated 90° by the 90°-rotating shaft 13 and returned to its original position in the same state as the first mounted and supported one by the 180°-rotating member 12. The operator detaches the coating-finished workpiece 16 from the 180°-rotating member, and mounts and supports a new workpiece 16 thereon. Coating operation is performed by the repetition of said work.
