Abstract

PURPOSE: To simultaneously reduce the coloring components and high COD component in waste colored penetrant liquid used for the inspection for flaws of steel material sufaces by reusing the coke and Ca(OH)2 which have filtered said waste liquid as a sintering raw material for iron ore.
CONSTITUTION: The waste liquid 6 produced by color checking a steel material 2 then rinsing the remaining penetrant liquid with washing water 4 is stored in a waste water tank 8, and this is introduced into a coke column 12. Further the treated liquid thereof 14 is introduced into a Ca(OH)2-treated water tank 16, and is added with a co-depositing agent Ca(OH)2 or CaO. The coke having absorbed surfactants and the like in the column 12 is used as it is in a sintering furnace 26, and the Ca(OH)2 having adsorbed coloring components, COD components and oil components by the Ca(OH)2 treatment is used by being mixed in the sintering raw material for the furnace 26 as it is or in a slurry state.
