Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve automatic assmbling which is versatile by inserting pipes while movig fixtures stacked with numerous fins intermittently while assembling the fins and the pipes of a heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: On a rotary table 4 moving intermittently, fixtures 10 are arranged at equal intervals. Fins 1 loaded into the fixtures 10 and held by fin holders and fin stoppers are divided into two parts of upper and lower parts, by a fin separator and a center partitioning plate is inserted into the separation gap. Then, pipes 2 are inserted into fin holes by a station for inserting the pipes 2. This device inserts the pipes into the fin holes automatically without deforming the thin fins.
