Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate the lamp cell of a light microwave resonator and a resonance cell at the optimum temperature by controlling the temperatures of the lamp cell and the resonance cell and coupling a low heat conductivity member so that the temperature gradient along the advancing direction of the temperature is formed. CONSTITUTION:A cell 7B integrated with a lamp cell A, a filter cell B and a resonance cell C is used for a light microwave resonator 11 of a rubidium gas cell type atomic oscillator, the outer walls of the cells A and B are formed of copper or the like having high heat conductivity, and the heat transfer material 20 of the middle part is formed of a material having low heat conductivity. The cell A is maintained at aproximately 90 deg.C by a heater coil 16 wound on the outer wall in the vicinity, and the cells B and C are heated via the material 20. The heat produced by the coil 14 is transmitted to the cell B, which is thus maintained at approx. 80 deg.C, and the cell C is maintained at 70 deg.C.
