Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled conductor without lowering its conductivity and strength by a method wherein an Al alloy cast ingot containing Zr, Fe, Si is subjected to hot processing and the obtained roughly drawn wire is subjected to cold wire forming processing and, thereafter, bending processing is applied by a roll bending machine.
CONSTITUTION: An Al alloy cast ingot containing 0.01W0.8% Zr, 0.05W0.8% Fe, 0.03W0.3% Si and comprising the remainder of Al and usual impurities is subjected to hot processing to form a roughly drawn wire 1. The resultant roughly drawn wire 1 is passed through a continuous cold wire forming machine 2 to carry out wire forming processing and, thereafter, passed through a roll bending machine 3 succeedingly to apply bending processing and, subsequently, wound onto a winder 4. In this case, the lowering of heat resistance due to residual strain on a conductor surface by continuous wire forming processing and low temp. annealing effect peculiar to said continuous wire forming processing is restored by the bending processing by said bending machine 3.
