Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare cans and containers having excellent corrosion resistance, by dipping a formed material obtained by the DI formation of a cold rolled steel plate into a Ni plating bath having SiO2, etc. dispersed in it to plate the formed material compositely electrolessly and then by chemical conversion-treating before painting the plated material.

Thus, a thin composite electrolessplating layer 1μ or less thick is formed on the surface of the formed material. The plated material is, as it is, or, if necessary, after further chemical conversion-treating it, painted with a can coating.
