Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a connecting part of excellent strength and having a smooth outer surface, by a method wherein the outer surface of the connecting part at the end of a hose having an uneven outer surface and in which a spiral reinforcing body has been embedded is filled with unvulcanized rubber or uncured resin and wound with woven fabric or the like havin mold release characteristics, and said rubber or resin is vulcanized or cured thereafter.
CONSTITUTION: After a connecting fitment 6 has been inserted into the end of a flexible hose 1 in which a spiral reinforcing body 3 has been embedded, unvalcanized rubber or uncured resin 5 is provided so as to smooth unevenness 4 of the outer surface of the hose 1. The outside thereof is wound with woven fabric or film, and then said rubber or resin is vulcanized or cured. Thereby, a hose end is obtained having a smooth outer surface, a uniform wall thickness and excellent strength.
