Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high performance emulsifying device which maintains the emulsified state stably for a long period of time without requiring the addition of any emulsification stabilizer with heavy oils of small specific gravities by combining plural layers of stationary and rotary cylinders which are concentrical and of which the circumferential surfaces are porous, by maintaining spacings. CONSTITUTION:For example, if water is mixed with B oil and these are premixed and are fed through a liquid feed port 4, the liquid enters the center of a cylindrical tank 1, where while it is being scattered outward by a rotating circular cylinder 11, it flows in the rotating direction. It is forced to the outer side through the pores 6 of a stationary cylinder 5 and is further forced outward by passing through the pores 10 of the next rotary cylinder 9. At this time, the 1st shearing is effected by the high-speed rotation of the cylinder 9, whereby the liquid is diffused. Following this, it passes the pores 6a of a stationary cylinder 5a and further through the pores 10a of a rotary cylinder 9a, whereby the 2nd shearing and diffusion are effected. Similarly, it goes to the 3rd time, and the velocity of flow decreases with a successive increase in the areas. As the peripheral speed increases, shearing forces and diffusion speed increases and the liquid is removed as fine particles through an outflow pipe 12.
