Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of a narrow-band speaker system, by increasing the Q for both the minimum resonance frequency and the high-band cut-off frequency. CONSTITUTION:Both the vibration system mass M and the cabinet compliance CB are selected properly to increase the Q for the minimum resonance frequency fO. At the same time, the compliance CF of a filter is selected properly to increase the Q for the high-band cut-off frequency fH. As a result, the sound pressure properties of a narrow band can be obtained like (c) to ensure a high efficiency compared with the flat max (b'). On the other hand, the sound pressure properties like (d) can be obtained by storing the speaker unit by which the sound pressure properties (b) can be obtained into a cabinet of a bus reflex or drone cone system. Furthermore the sound pressure properties like (e) can be obtained by storing the speaker unit capable of obtaining the sound pressure properties (c) into a cabinet of a bus reflex or drone cone system.
