Abstract

PURPOSE: To transport ash produced after combustion smoothly in a rotary kiln type incinerator, by providing a fluid injection pipe to extend along the inner wall surface of the incinerator, and thereby preventing sticking of low-melting compounds to the inner wall surface of the furnace in incinerating ash or the like produced after combustion.
CONSTITUTION: A fluid injecting pipt 15 is provided in the manner that it extend to the inside of an incinerator substantially in the direction of the axis of rotation of a ratary kiln 14. From many ports 16 formed in the pipe 15, cooling air is ejected at a high speed onto the inner wall surface of the furnace at the top of the kiln 14 in a direction opposite to the rotation of kiln 14, whereby low-melting compounds (V, Na, Fe) contained in the ash supplied from a nozzle 11 and ash combined therewith can be prevented from sticking to the furnace wall by the function of the air ejected from the ports 16. Thus, it is enabled to transport ash smoothly in the kiln 14 and incinerate the same effectually.
