Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a titled material having adequate surface roughness as backing for resin coating by etching treatment by soaking a cast Al alloy ingot contg. Mg, Mn and Fe at prescribed temps., then hot rolling the same while specifying average rates of slow cooling and temps. CONSTITUTION:A cast Al alloy ingot contg. 0.05-2.5% Mg, 0.3-1.5% Mn, 0.3-0.8% Fe is soaked at 480-620 deg.C, particularly 480-550 deg.C. Next, at the time of hot rolling the cast Al alloy ingot after the soaking, the hot rolling is completed in a 320 deg.C-150 deg.C temp. range while the ingot is being slow cooled at less than 80 deg.C/min cooling rates. Depending upon cases, elements such as Si, Cu, Zn, Cr, Ti, B, Zr may be positively contained in the Al alloy of the raw materials. For example, Ti and B are elements which make the internal structure during Al alloy casting uniform and fine, and are further effective in improving etching property.
