Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a Hall IC by a method wherein plural Hall elements are formed, and outputs of the respective Hall elements are added. CONSTITUTION:At Hall elements 10A, 10B, the Hall element 10B is put in floating condition of electric potential making the other Hall element 10A as the reference. Namely at the Hall element 10A, an electric power source Vcc is applied from an electric power source terminal 64 through a resistor 62 to an electrode 44, and an electrode 46 is earthed through a resistor 66. At the other Hall element 10B, an electrode 48 is connected to the electric power source terminal 64 through a constant-current source 68, and an electrode 50 is earthed through a constant-current source 70. Electrodes 54, 56 are connected in common with an aluminum wiring 72. Namely both the Hall elements 10A, 10B are so connected as a Hall signal output is to be taken out being added from between electrodes 52, 58, the added Hall output is inputted to an amplifier 74 being integrated with the respective Hall elements 10A, 10B on the same semiconductor substrate 12, and an added output is taken out from an output terminal 76.
