Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out washing of a sludge easily and rapidly by a method wherein network voids formed between particles by pressurized close adhesion are utilized and diverted as a filter to carry out filtering.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 7 is forcedly pressed onto a filter layer 2 and a concentrated water suspension containing extremely fine particles, fibers, gelled substances or the like is poured into said filter layer by a high pressure pump. As suspended substances are introduced under pressure into voids of the filter layer 2, said filter layer forms a secondary skeletal structure being a skeletal wall body in which consolidating is generated as a result of pressure adhesion due to gradual predetermined force and integrated with a previously formed primary skeletal structure and changed into a non-collapsible structure resistant to pressure. A second process figure shows a pressure dehydration completed condition and pressure adhesion of the cylinder 7 is stopped and, in a passive Rankine zone, fluidizing of particles is restored in such a condition that particles and permeated water are mixed and transfer of the particles and washing of a sludge remained in the particles can be carried out easily and rapidly.
