Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate preservation of electrodes and procedure of immunoassay, by using dry electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A silver layer 21, a silver chloride layer 22, a potassium chloride layer 23, and an immunological active membrane 24 are fixed on a supporting plate 11 to form a potential type dry electrode for immunoassay 20. On the other hand, a silver layer 21, a silver chloride layer 22, a potassium chloride layer 23, and a protective membrane 25 are fixed to form a potential type dry reference electrode 26. An insulation layer 41 is provided between the two electrodes 20, 26 so as not to short-circuit. When immunoassay is carried out, a sample to be analyzed 51 is stuck across the potential type dry electrode for immunoassay 20 and the potential type dry reflerence electrode 26, and the potential difference between the metallic layers of the two electrodes is read by a potentiometer 62. The relation between the potential difference and the amount of immunity is shown in a calibration curve that has been prepared in advance by using a sample solution to be analysed having known immunity or a standard solution.
