Abstract
PURPOSE: An insecticidal composition that contains DV chrysanthemumic esters of which isomer content is in a specific range as an active ingredient, thus showing a wide insecticidal spectrum with quick-acting properties and being suitably used for controlling santitary and agricultural insect pests with low toxicity.
CONSTITUTION: The insecticidal composition contains (+)cis,trans-DV-chrysanthemumic acid containing 10W30% of (+)trans-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl) cyclopropane-carboxylic acid and (+)cis,trans-DV-chrysanthemumic ester obtained from (+)cis,trans-DV-chrysanthemumic acid and an alcohol of the formula as active ingredients. The composition shows the highest activity, when it contains 20% of (+)cis-DV-chrysanthemumic acid. Further, the addition of the primary ester of chrysanthemumic acid with the alcohol of the formula: ROH (R is formula IIWIV; R1 is allyl, propargyl; X is O, S; R2 is H, ethynyl; R3 is H, methyl; R4 is R1, benzyl) increase the activity.
