Abstract
PURPOSE: An alkaline substance is added to a rodenticide containing zinc phosphide as the active ingredient to adjust the pH, thus avoiding the generation of hydrogen phosphide during the production and storage and increasing the palatability for rodents and the rodenticidal activity as well as the stability.
CONSTITUTION: An alkaline substance such ss sodium bicarbonate, sodium hydroxide or sodium stearate is added to a rodenticide of zinc phosphide to adjust the pH to 7.0W9.0. The resultant rodenticide causes no formation of hydrogen phosphide gas during the production and storage and shows increased palatability for rodents and increasd rodenticidal activity with stabalized quality.
