Abstract

PURPOSE:A coating film-type pack that is maee by adding peptide obtained by hydrolysis of silk fibroin and/or a regenerated silk fibroin powder to a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol, water and ethanol, thus showing improved film-forming properties and improved feeling when applied, without any adverse effect on stability with time. CONSTITUTION:As the major ingredients, are used (a) polyvinyl alcohol, (b) water, (c) ethanol (d) a peptide preferably of 200-20,000 average molecular weight, which has been obtained by hydrolysis of silk fibroin with ah acid, alkali or enzyme and/or (e) a regenerated silk fibroin powder, preferably with 0-70% crystallinity, 1-100mu maximum particle size to produce the objective pack preparation having high stability with time, permitting simple application to the skin and forming coating films that can be readily released from the skin. Further, the pack gives the skin an appropriate amount of moisture and good feeling when applied. The amounts of ingredients (d) and (e) are preferably 0.1-10wt% based on the total amount of the composition respectively.
