Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate insertion of a spring and achieve mounting with high accuracy, by forming the frame of a color tube and the setting hole in the inner shield mounting structure so that the central part of the major side can be made wider than the minor side. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular hole 1a is formed in a frame 1 which is stuck and fixed to the circumference of the shadow mask of a color cathode-ray tube. Both this hole 1a and the hole 2a with the same shape which is provided in an inner shield 2 are fixed by inserting a spring 3. In this case, the shape of mounting holes 1b and 2b is formed so that the central part of their major side can be made wider than their minor side and curved. Thus, the width of the hole is larger than that of the spring 3. As a result, the insertion can be facilitated, when the spring 3 is inserted, while shifting can be eliminated by making the width of the minor side equal to that of the spring 3, and assembly work can be facilitated.
