Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent heat resistance and weatherability, and suitable for the molding of elastic articles, etc., by compounding polyurethane with a benzotriazole-type ultraviolet absorbing agent, a hindered phenol-type antioxidant, and a sulfur-containing ester compound.
CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane derived from a polyisocyanate compound and a compound having active hydrogen group (e.g. ethylene glycol) is compound with (A) a benzotriazole-type ultraviolet absorbing agent of formula I (X is H or halogen; R1WR3 are H, alkyl, hydroxy, or alkoxy), etc., (B) a hindered phenol-type antioxidant of formula II (R4WR6 are H or alkyl), etc., and (C) a sulfur-containing ester compound of formula (R1)-(OOCCH2CH2S-R2)n [when n=1, then R1 is 8W22C alkyl and R2 is CH2CH2COOR3 (R3 is 8W22C alkyl), and when n≥2, then R1 is CH2CH2, group of formula III, etc.], etc., by kneading.
