Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A carbostyril derivative expressed by formula I [R1 is OH, alkoxyl or formula II (R3 is lower hydroxyalkyl); R2 is H, alkoxyl, nitro, amino or alkanoylamino; A is alkylene] and a salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: 1-Ethoxycarbonylmetnyl-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril.
USE: An anti-inflammatory agent, analgesic agent, musclular relaxant, etc. having anti-inflammatory action, analgesic action, muscular relaxing action and antidopamin action.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I (R1 is lower alkoxy or formula II) is prepared as follows: A carbostyril derivative expressed by formula III is reacted with a compound of the formula X-A-COR1' to give the compound expressed by formula I in which R1 is R1'.
