Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a tool which performs stable cutting operation by providing an optical fiber cutting lever whose share point moves on the arc of an optical fiber while applying constant pressure by coupling with a takeup means. CONSTITUTION:A holding table 2 for an optical fiber 32 which has a required R surface or a slanting surface 7, a pressing means 9 for pressing and locking the optical fiber 32 on the holding table 2, and a takeup means 35 of applying prescribed tension to the optical fiber 32 on the holding table 2 are provided. Further, a cutting lever 5 which has a share point moving on the arc of the optical fiber 32 while applying constant pressure by coupling with the takeup means 35 is also provided. Thus, the takeup means and the interlocking optical fiber cutting lever are incorporated in one body to make a constant-length and constant-length flaw on the arc perpendicular to the axial direction of the optical fiber through simple operation.
