Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the insulating and moisture resistance characteristics of a resin-immersed molded coil by using a bare conductor for a conductor, disposing the bare conductor and hollow sleeve formed by weaving fibrous material in parallel, winding them and immersing it with resin. CONSTITUTION:A hollow sleeve 11 formed by weaving high strength fibrous material or the like, e.g., glass fiber or the like on a bare conductor 10 made of copper or the like is laid on an insulating cylinder 9 made of epoxy glass or the like, is simultaneously wound axially in parallel, and the first layer is formed. Interlayer insulating material 13 of necessary thickness having good immersion property, e.g., Nomex non-waven fabric or the like is diposed on the first layer, thereby forming the second layer, and necessary number of layers are similarly formed, thereby forming a coil. After immersion resin, e.g., epoxy resin or the like is immersed in vacuum in the coil, excessive resin is removed, the coil is then thermally cured while being rotated. In this manner, the resin can be sufficiently immersed, thereby improving the insulating and moisture resistance characteristics and reducing the size and weight.
