Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the rotary efficiency of a rotor by arranging guide vanes around a rotor.
CONSTITUTION: In a vertical shaft rotor 1 of a paddle or Savonius type, guide vanes 2 are installed around the rotor 1 at a same angle with that of the rotor (blade) 1. With this contrivance, the flow harmful to the rotation of the rotor 1 does not high the rotor 1, but the flow direction is changed by the vanes 2 in such a manner that it increases energy to improve the rotary efficiency of the rotor 1.
