Abstract
PURPOSE:To condition a sample to a fixed grain size by minimizing the spattering of water from a coal high in the moisture and coking property. CONSTITUTION:A sample hopper 1 stores a sample coal extracted with a cutter. After fed with a belt feeder 2 adjustable in the delivery level, through a speed changing gear and reduction gear, the sample coal is crushed to a size enough to allow reducing with a primary coal crusher 4 which employs a double roll crusher. The right and left rolls thereof are driven through a V belt with independent motors in such a manner as to be variable in the peripheral speed. A reducer 5 distributes the sample coal crushed with the coal crusher 4 into a sample controlling main line and a coal discharging line. Finish coal crusher zeta 9 and 10 likewise comprise right and left variable peripheral speed double roll crushers finish the sample distributed to the sample conditioning main line by crushing into prescribed grain sizes. A coal discharging conveyor 8 receives coal fed to a coal discharging line and carries it out of the sample conditioning apparatus.
