Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop an original moving table at a prescribed position accurately by braking the original moving table through switching a normal/reverse turning means on detecting the original moving table in backward motion being at a home position. CONSTITUTION:For a driving system an original moving table 2, a motor 5, a transmission gear 6, a normal/reverse turning clutch 7, a tension pulley 8, a wire 9, and a pulse encoder 10 are provided. The original moving table 2 in backward motion is detected at a home position and at this point of time, a return clutch part is turned off and the table is stopped. For this stopping operation, the normal/ reverse turning clutch 7 is reversed to brake the original moving table 2, thus buffering the stopping operation. Then, the extent of the braking of the original moving table 2 is adjusted corresponding to the movement distance of the table 2, so that the table 2 is stopped at the prescribed home position wisthout being returned too much.
