Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure large guide vane opening degrees without enlarging the capacity of a servo motor in such a way of setting the angle between a guide vane lever and a link to 80W100° when the guide vane is opened by 100%.
CONSTITUTION: In a guide vane operating mechanism which is proper to be used for Caplan water turbine or the like, the angle between a guide vane lever 9 and a link 10 assigned for 100% opening of the guide vane to maximize unbalance moment, is set to 80W90°. Thus, when length of the guide vane lever 9 is assumed as l, force to work in the axial direction of the link 10 as F, and driving moment around the guide vane shaft as M, it results in being M=Fsinα×l, which induces α=80W100°, subsequently the unbalance moment can be actuated most effectively.
