Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of wave power generation vy installing a wave power generating apparatus between the reflective convergence bank and the penetrable bank for incident wave and amplifying the wave height through the overlapping of the incident and the reflective waves between the both banks.
CONSTITUTION: The reflective convergence bank 2 having impenetrable paraboloid and the penetrable bank 1 for the incident wave are arranged, keeping the distance corresponding to the wavelength of the offing wave, and in the middle point, a wave power generating apparatus 3 is arranged. When the offing wave having the wavelength L advances into the bank 2 through the bank 1 having filtering effect, waves converge into the focus of the paraboloid which the bank surface of the bank 2 forms. Owing to the bank surface, the offing wave having the wavelength L generates the overlapped wave, and in the vicinity of the focus, the vertical movement of the sea surface is amplified by the convergence of the wave energy. On the other hand, owing to the bank 1, the ordinary wave can pass free from resistance, and the stormy wave reaches the bank 2 reducing the excessive wave height.
