Abstract
PURPOSE:To form the insulating film having excellent waterproofing, heat-resisting and adhesive properties as well as to reduce the stray-load loss of a rotor by a method wherein, after an insulating film has been provided using water-glass on the inner circumferential surface of a slot, a conductor bar is formed using a die cast of aluminum. CONSTITUTION:Before the formation of the conductor bar 15, the insulating film 14 is formed using water-glass on the inner circumferential surface of the rotor slot 13 whereon a conductor bar 15 will be formed using an aluminum die cast. The desired water-glass contains an SiO2 of 20-21wt%, an Na2O of 3.8-4.4wt%, the pH at 25 deg.C is 10.5-11.5 and has the specific gravity of 1.2-1.24. Through these procedures, the insulating film which will not be broken when an aluminum die casting is performed can be formed and a stray-load loss can also be reduced by preventing a leakage current.
