Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound useful as an intermediate for drugs, in high yield, suppressing the side reactions, by reacting a hydroxyarene with an α,ω- dihalogenoalkane in the presence of an alkali using a tert-alcohol as a solvent.
