Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the combustion equipment, which rapidly senses the oxygen shortage state before the concentration of carbon monoxide becomes high and automatically stops the combustion, by a method wherein the resistance across flame is detected with a flame detector. CONSTITUTION:A flame rod 7 as the flame detector is arranged on a combustion tube 6 at the location above non-perforated parts 10 arranged within a group of holes perforated over an outer flame tube 3. Because, if the oxygen shortage state is generated, the resistance across the flame lifted from the non-perforated parts 10 changes before the concentration of carbon monoxide in the combustion gas becomes high, the flame rod 7 senses the oxygen shortage by detecting the change of the resistance across the flame to stop the combustion automatically.
