Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the thermal efficiency of the captioned hot water feeder by a method wherein the exhaust air from a combustion cylinder passing crosswise through the intermediate section of a tank is introduced into a heat exchanger provided below the tank. CONSTITUTION:The combustion cylinder having a burner 5 at one end and closed by a cover 7 at the other end is passed crosswise through the intermediate section of the tank so that the combustion cylinder forms itself a primary heat exchanger 4. In this case, the end of the combustion cylinder covered by the cover 7 is inclined downward with respect to the opposite end attached with the burner. Further, a secondary heat exchanger 4' is passed crosswise through the lower part of the tank 1 and is made to communicate with the primary heat exchanger 4 through an exhaust pipe 6. By the way, numeral 9 designates an exhaust port and numeral 10 designates an exhaust cylinder.
