Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent abrasion of the heat transfer tube due to fretting and to secure the fixing of the tube in an apparatus for a pressurized water type nuclear reactor by a method wherein the surface of a lowermost step of the tube support and the surface of a tube fixing metal are made curved.
CONSTITUTION: A stepped section 10 is formed at the lower end of the tube support 3. The upper surface of the stepped section, that is, the surface 6 on which the lower-most part 1a of the heat transfer tube is placed is fixed to the tube support 3 by means of a stopper 2a after the tube is placed on the stepped section 10 of the tube support 3. With the above arrangement, the heat transfer tube 1 can be fixed to the tube support 3 without fail so that the abrasion of the tube due to fretting is prevented and at the same time, the tube is prevented from being damaged since the thermal stress generating in the tube is adsorbed by the tube support.
