Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve passenger's safety an unexpected collision accident by installing the air bag which is expandable and in which air intake and exhaust are permitted, at the front of a car seat, substituted for a seat belt.
CONSTITUTION: The air bag 4a accommodated in the back parr of a front seat 1 is set in expanded state by operating the valve not shown in the figure and feeding air in emergancy, and the valve is closed in the state where the front part of the passenger 15 and the contact part 14 are proerly contacted. Then, the air bag 4a is fixed by inserting a supporting member 18 into the air bag 4a insertion part. Thus, passengers can be protected from the shock due to collision accident etc., substituted for a seat belt.
