Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily prevent the generation of white rust on zinc coated to a surface of a steel material by treating a zinc coated steel material with an acidic solution containing molybdic acid and aluminum phosphate in a specific concn. respectively and having a specific PH. CONSTITUTION:An acidic solution containing one or more of molybdic acid or a molybdate in an amount of 10-200g/l as molybdeum and 0.01g/l or more aluminum phosphate and having a PH adjusted to 1-6 by an org. acid or an inorg. acid is used. The molybdat is, for example, sodium salt, potassium salt or the like and, as the aluminum phosphate, Al2O3.3P2O5.6H2O or the like is used. In order to adjust a pH, for example, oxalic acid, acetic acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid or the like are used. A temp. of a treating bath is about 20-80 deg.C and a treating time is about 2-3sec. As a treating method, for example, immersion treatment, spray treatment or the like can be applied.
