Abstract

PURPOSE:To decide the degree of chyle, jaundice and hemolysis without using a standard substance, by measuring absorbance of serum with a specified visible short wavelength, and deciding to be abnormal sample in case the resulting value is higher than some value, and measuring the ratio of absorbance caused by specified wavelength to chyle, jaundice and hemolysis, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A content of chyle (emulsified fat), jaundice and hemolysis in a biochemical sample, specially a serum is decided by measuring absorbance preliminarily at 410nm. When the resulting value is above the specified value, the sample is known as abnormal. Then, a degree of chyle is measured by absorbance at 660nm. Subsequently, the degree of jaundice is measured by the ratio of absorbance difference DELTA2E410-480 at 410 at 480nm to the absorbance difference DELTA2E480-570 at 570 and 480nm. When the ratio is above 1, the case is decided to be jaundice, and the degree of that is measured by the size of difference DELTA3E480-570. When the ratio is above 2, the case is decided to be hemolysis, and the degree of hymolysis is measured by the difference DELTA3E410-480. Thus, three components in the serum are measured without using standard materials of chyle, jaundice and hemolysis, that are not easily obtained.
