Abstract

PURPOSE: A copolymer, containing fluorine, consisting of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and a specific fluoroallyl ether in a specific proportion, and having improved tear strength and stress cracking resistance at a high temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A copolymer obtained by reacting (A) 98.9W79mol%, preferably 96.8W87mol%, tetrafluoroethylene with (B) 1W15mol%, preferably 3W10mol%, hexafluoropropylene and (C) 0.1W6mol%, preferably 0.2W3mol%, fluoroallyl ether expressed by the formula (X is F or H; n is 1W12, preferably 1W8) in the presence of a polymerization initiator, e.g. di(fluoroacyl)peroxide, at about room temperature and preferably the spontaneous pressure of the monomer.
